RACE MINNESOTA MODIFIED SERIES ANNOUNCES 2010 SCHEDULE AND THE ADDITION OF WISSOTA MOD FOURS

Sauk Centre, MN (November 13, 2009) – The Race Minnesota Modified Series (RACEMN) presented by XR Apparel has announced a five race series between North Central Speedway in Brainerd, MN and Ogilvie Raceway in Ogilvie, MN that will launch in 2010 backed by a generous point fund, a best 4 of 5 series championship, the addition of the WISSOTA Mod Fours, and a unparalleled event promotional fan experience.
Schedule Overview
The RACEMN Modified Series will break ground with it’s inaugural event on Tuesday, June 15th at Ogilvie Raceway in Ogilvie, MN. The 2010 series lid lifter at Ogilvie will feature a themed “throwback night.” A myriad of topics have been discussed regarding the throwback theme and details will be released in the near future as to what will be taking place. The WISSOTA Modifieds, WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds, and WISSOTA Mod Fours will all compete during the ground breaking event.
On Wednesday, June 16th, 2010 the series will make it’s first ever appearance at North Central Speedway in Brainerd, MN. North Central Speedway’s first event will also feature the throwback theme. RACEMN will work side by side with North Central Speedway Promoter Tim Boeder in the process of putting together the pilot event in Brainerd. WISSOTA Modifieds, WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds and WISSOTA Mod Fours will all compete during the night’s event which will complete the first two night swing.
On August 3rd, 2010 the series will shift back to Ogilvie Racway. A special night is in the process of being planned along with the Open Wheel Madness already on the docket. More details will be released but the founders of RACEMN can assure that this night will be one that feature’s fan interaction before, during and after the event. The August 3rd date on Ogilvie will be one on the calendar to circle when more details are released.
On September 6th, 2010 (Labor Day) the series will launch the fourth leg of the tour putting an end to North Central Speedway’s “Mighty Axe Nationals.” Along with the three classes featured of the RACEMN tour, the night will feature a visit from a national touring series TBA. For open wheel Modifieds fans in the upper Midwest, this will be an must visit event to attend.
The fifth and final leg of the RACEMN Modified Series will take place Saturday, September 10th, 2010 during night one of Ogilvie Raceway’s Harvest Cup. Inaugural Champions will be crowned during the fifth and final event which will put a cap on RACEMN’s 1st season. The September 10th date promises to be a great one with history being made at the conclusion of the event. Be there to see who will be crowned the first RACEMN Modified Series Champions.

The RACEMN Point Fund has grown to $20,000 with $5,000 being rewarded to the Modified Champion, $2,500 to the Midwest Modified Champion, and $500 to the Modified Four Champion. All events will be run for WISSOTA National Points. The RACEMN crown for each division will be decided from the best 4 of 5 events in the 2010 season allowing drivers to “throw” a show.
Drivers will battle at every RACEMN event for a consistent and standard purse at every event. Modifieds will race for $1,500 to win, Midwest Modifieds $600 to win, and Modified Fours for $250.
