Sauk Centre, MN (December 11, 2009) – Over the past 70+ years, nobody has represented the sport of Dirt Track Racing in Central Minnesota better than Willmar, Minnesota, resident Charlie Nelson. Charlie got his start in the sport as a pit crew member for Late Model legend Darrel Hoyer. After that he performed duties on the KRA Speedway board as well as helping the track with any odd jobs needed to be done to make improvements to the Speedway. Over the past 15 years Nelson has been instrumental in helping KRA Speedway turn into the Thursday night powerhouse it has become.
