2010 Rules
- RACEMN Series will use the 2010 Wissota rules for all classes.
- RACEMN Series will utilize a two caution rule during the heats, a one caution rule during the B-Main’s and a two caution rule during the features.
- Changing of tires will not be allowed in the heats. Changing of tires during the feature is allowed during cautions; however driver will tag onto the back of the field after the change.
- RACEMN Series will utilize the “Delaware” lineup after cautions in all the heats and the A Main. Whereas the first place car is in the front by themselves, and the second place car gets to choose inside or outside. The fourth place car must be inside, and the rest follow as normal. Once there is five laps left or less, cars will then lineup single file. In the B-Main races, cars will lineup single file after one lap is completed.
- RACEMN Series will utilize a passing points system to determine entry to the A Main. This passing point system is based on a 1.76 per car passed and is attached. The top 16 in passing points will qualify for the A Main, and the top 8 will redraw for feature starting positions. Starting positions 9-16 will be based on passing points totals. All heat winners will automatically be in the top 16 in passing points.
- Heat races will be 10 laps for all classes. B-Main races will be 12 laps for all classes. Features will be 30 laps for Modifieds, 25 laps for Midwest Modifieds and 20 laps for Mod Four’s.
- Each division will have the first heat on the track, the second heat in the infield ready, and the third heat in staging off of turn four.
- Each car will be required to have a RACEMN sticker on both sides of their car for all of the events.
- 20 cars will qualify for the feature. Each night one provisional will be selected. This provisional will be the driver with the most series points that does not make the feature. Each driver will only be able to obtain one provisional for the entire series. For the Modifieds, the Race #1 Brainerd starting lineup will be used to determine the provisional since the feature was postponed.
- B-Main lineups will be determined by the passing point totals in the heats. B-main finish will be determined by actual race finishing order (not passing points).
- Jumping the start – If a driver jumps an original 2 by 2 start of race, the caution will come out and they will be penalized ONE ROW from where they were scheduled to start. Because of passing points the 3rd place car goes to 2nd place and the 2nd place car goes to 1st. If a driver jumps a single file OR double file Delaware restart, the caution WILL NOT come out and that driver will be docked 2 spots per car jumped AT THE END OF THE RACE (not the next caution).
- Anytime a car gets put to the back for a caution, lineup changes will always “criss-cross” instead of moving up a row because of passing points.
- Any driver that is suspended by Wissota for any infraction the same penalty will be imposed by the RACEMN Series. Two examples:
If you are suspended from Wissota for a period of time that driver will not be allowed to race any of the series races during that period of time
If a driver is suspended and loses Wissota season points because of the infraction, they will lose all of their season series points to date also
- Individual track rules apply in all other situations.
- Ogilvie Raceway and North Central Speedway officials make all of the competition rulings for cautions. RACEMN Series does not make calls.
